What are my options to get Sirius radio? The car was not built with it.

Folks, we have a 2005 SLK350 with the base radio. I think it's called a 10 or a 20...

Anyway, what are the options to get Sirius in this vehicle? Can the current radio be set up or optioned to receive Sirius? I would prefer using the original MB equipment (and add-ons) if possible.

I do understand that an antenna will be needed, but what else has to happen? Thanks.

There are numerous posts on this subject matter. In the end you will spend upwards of $500+ to get it if you so choose.

Current radio can be connected to Sirius.

There's a kit dealer can install.

You can subscribe to startekinfo for a day for $18 and download the instructions if you wish. It lists parts required and procedures to do it but in the end it requires dealer equipment.

If you

have aux input you can install an add on Sat tuner.Way under 500 bucks.
You can also if you have an aux input go with HD radio fed in through the new Ipod nano with video camera. It has a great HD tuner. And you get really really small video to watch as a bonus

Nav-tv has a unit as well as mobridge and then you can find one on ebay that is a factory system and there are some high end car audio shops that have some of the factory systems. It plugs into the most ring and as long as your car was configured for it (alot were) then all you have to do is activate. and run the antenna lead.
