XM Satellite Radio Install
Anyone install a Pioneer XM radio in the ashtray? Heard things floating around but am really curious to see if it's been done.

The only member of this forum to install an XM receiver installed a Sony. I have seen the Pioneer, and only the remote control will fit in the ashtray. The actual receiver is too large and has to be mounted somewhere else.

I was in Best Buy the other day, looking at the XM radio set-ups. There were 2 things that I didn't like about the whole deal.
1- I assumed that individual song titles would show up on the receiver. They don't, or at least they didn't while I was using it. The employee couldn't get song titles to show up either.
2 - You have to install an antennae somewhere on the exterior of your car. Not only would it look bad, but you'd be advertising to thieves that you have the new radio in your car.
I'm not sold on it.
