AUDIO/COMMAND Upgade?

AUDIO/COMMAND Upgade?
I have a Mercedes 2001my ... W203 ... 220 CDi ... at present it is in its original state, in as much as it has a Audio 10 radio/Cass fitted.
The other week a tape jammed and having successfully removed the tape, in dong so, I dislodged the tape spring loaded flap.
Rather than getting this unit repaired, I thought about replacing the Radio/Cassette with another Audio 10 unit, then it crossed my, “Is it possible to fit a Command unit into the vehicle?”
Basically the question is! …. Is it possible to fit a Command unit to this car? … if so, which model would I need to get hold of and would the steering wheel controls all still work supposing I could fit a Command unit.
I know very little about this subject, I’m assuming that a command unit, if there is one that will fit and work in a Mercedes W203 made in 2001 is basically a Radio/CD player … I’m not even sure if or what more they can do … any info on this matter would be greatly appreciated indeed … cheers Peter

Let me make it easier for you since anything in 2001 was 1997 technology at best... go to your nearest professional shop, and get an Alpine to toss in there. there is nothing special with the wiring of that vehicle
