Shops in Socal

Can anyone recommend a good install shop in SoCal? I'm worried about some of these shops who have limited experience taking apart a mercedes and trying to put it back together. Thanks.

They did all of my cars, Lotus, CLk, SLK, they've always been really good.

Can I ask what you guys had done to your car? SilvaC32 - I saw your box, but did they also work on your speakers and other interior components? I plan on pulling everything out and starting from scratch, but I want to make sure the shop knows how to not only disassemble and reassemble the car, but also has experience with the mercedes rear decks...which from what I hear are kind of a beotch with the auto head rests, rear sun shades, etc. thanks guys.

PS. Is Kembo the one in Alhambra? That's the only one that popped up? thanks again.

in my SLk230: Alpine 1005, Alpine DVD player, Alpine NAvi, Alpine sub, Alpine CD changer, and Diamond speakers all around.

In CLk: Kenwood 911, Kenwood Graphic analyzer/EQ, Kenwood Navi, 2 Eclipse Amps, 2 monitors in headrest, 2 JL 10" W6 in custom trunk, and Diamond speakers all around.

xyzpl,

Can I ask what you used for your speaker setup in your CLK? Those 4" rears on the door seem worthless since they fire right into the seat. Furthermore, the rear deck speakers are supposedly "Subs" and are garbage as well. I was thinking of putting 6.5" coaxials in the rear deck and mount them to fire into the cabin, instead of into the trunk per the stock setup....and just taking out the 4"s. I'm interested to see how you setup your system. Any advice would be appreciated. BTW, can I ask how much you paid for your install?

Thanks.

Dman,

you are right, the rear 4 does nothing.... I am about to change my setup, but as of right now, it has diamond M6 Component speakers up front and M3 in the back, on the doors, as for the speakers on the rear deck i just removed them completely.

I'll see if I got some pics i can put up.

xyzpl,

how much did they charge for the install? do you know if they ran the power cables and RCA cables on opposite sides of the car, to avoid interference? i know some shops avoid that to cut down costs.

thanks

the complete system cost me $9000, including the parts, labor, and 1 week.
