Just bought a 211. The car is an 07 with the P2, and running the VIN shows that it came with satellite radio. I'm thinking the PO may have removed and sold the SDARS before returning the car (lease). I've upgraded my COMAND to the latest firmware, and it still says "No Satellite Radio" when I try to switch to it. I'd like to check to see if the receiver has been removed (I still have an antenna), but I'm not quite sure how to gain access to it. I know it's on the passenger side of the trunk, but there don't seem to be any access panels. Can anyone guide me on how to find and check, or if they're aware of any common problems with COMAND seeing the SAT radio?

I'm not sure about the 07's but in my 06 it's located behind the rear passenger trunk panel.

correct... you pull the rear trim piece out and then undo the clips and net retainers and pull the entire passenger side liner out...

"No Sat" means no active subscription, too.

Tune to channel 184 to verify.

Doesn't the Sirius subscription # appear on the COMAND screen if you are not contracted?
