Are there any Bluetooth or any other adapters that will allow my wife to play music from her Iphone in her 2006 CLK350? It has nav and phone option, but currently no phone adapter.
I'd love for her to be able to play music from her phone in her car.
Thanks!

You will have to have the Ipod cord plugged into the head

I have a friend who had an Ipod adaptor plug wired into the back of the unit and it sits in the glove box. It works very well.

Thanks. SO there's a place to plug into the back of the unit then.

There has to be because he has one working just like in the 2007 and up as an option. Your car stereo guy will have what you need. I do know they have to wire it in. I think they remove the glove box and go in that way. They cut a nice hole for the wires to come through and have a special cover that makes it look factory. You will be very happy.

I have an 03' E55 W211 with phone cradle inside the hand rest (part #A 211 820 14 51).

Can you tell me if that 6131 BT puck can work in my car?

I really need that BT.

Do I need any other parts/operations to make the BT work in my car?

Thank you so much!

You need the "Puck With Tail," B 6 787 5855 for your system. The 6131 and 5878 pucks are for MHI phone systems, not the CP-211 that is in your car. See http://www.benzworld.org/forums/audi...ades-plug.html if you need more. Posts 1, 4, 6 and 7 apply to your car.

I wouldn't think so. The technology just wasn't as advanced as it is the newer systems. Maybe your local car audio shop might have an answer for you

Neither of them streams A2DP (audio). Unless you have an AUX input for a wired connection of the music features of your phone, additional electronics are required. See the "Enhancement" section of http://www.benzworld.org/forums/audi...hancement.html

A2DP and hands free altogether in same retrofit?

My First Post Here...

Like many, I am looking into how to adapt or retrofit the latest tech into an older MB. In this case, a Model Year 2008 (manuf 10/07) ML 350. This car came with the NGT2 COMAND head unit w Nav. The center console has the bare shoe for puck or cradle. It is missing the plastic slide-on protector piece for it though...used car through an auction wholesaler, typical... All mats, little accessories, etc. come up missing when you find one of these cars. Anyway, a few info updates for those who may find this in a search - as I did:

Latest part number for the "MHI Bluetoot" (yes, some sites truncate at max characters in field I guess, funny in this case) seems to be 67880001. These are ~$400 at online vendors such as ECSTuning and others who give good discounts. I do not know if any further updates in firmware or advantages in pairing with later - and current - phone models exist. Seems that that if you run a part number search with older part numbers those same sites show the earlier part numbers (5878, 6131, etc) superseded by the one above.

As for iPod/iPhone music, ECS also lists a later part number, 67824558, for a specific OEM iPod adaptor kit for the car above.

If staying OEM only, these two kits would allow BT phone through the MHI puck and iPod hardwired music through the car's Aux In jack - found in glovebox. You can connect the cable to your device for music and retain the Bluetooth telephone feature at same time, via the puck/cradle in the center console

Two problems then:

1) Unfortunately, your music comes out the iPod/iPhone using the built-in DAC which converts the digital signal to analog stereo and passes that to the COMAND unit through the Aux jack. Sound quality is degraded when you settle for this set up. Not an issue if you choose MP3 resolution in order to store more songs. Indeed a problem if you use FLAC or Apple Lossless to retain CD quality for your stored music, as I do. You can hear the difference.

2) You are out of luck if you want to stream your music wirelessly such as in the latest cars. This is typically done through the A2DP protocol.

So... Some answers, in part:

Three companies and their products that I know of offer something to look into. Search and check out the Viseeo MostO (search, they led the way in an aftermarket puck, latest now the MB4+), you order from vendors in the UK; Dension Gateway 500S BT; and, MoBridge - several offerings. I think you can get all of these to do iPod through the adaptor DAC which is external to the iPod of course. Plus they all offer the telephone (HFP) if you don't have or want to use the OEM Mercedes telephone system. If you do have or want to retain OEM Bluetooth, these kits allow you to turn off their own HFP telephone features - typically a DIP switch on their box, such as pin #6 on the Dension.

I have not yet pulled the trigger on any for this MB ML 350, however I can say that the Dension and MoBridge offerings have worked well in other (ultimate driving machine) German cars for me. The Viseeo MostO is my current favorite because only it seems to offer the A2DP coming up on the COMAND screen as a source choice
