iPod / 518 retrofit successful to SL (R230)/ tks to commandonline.co.uk
tks to Richard of Command on line ( http://www.comandonline.co.uk/) who is courteous, prompt and provided very detailed answers and guidelines on the consideration, installation and setups, the iPod retrofit kit was successful to my 2008 Sep SL63 AMG (R230) where this was supposed to be NOT possible according to MB HK, EPC and others.
this is what distinguished an expert ( from a snob ), who cares and shares and assist decisions and deliver results.
