Was ist dieses Audiosystem? (What is this audio system?)
I've read lots on the forum about the different versions of audio systems (Bose, non-Bose, head units, amps, tuners, etc., oh yea, Becker, Alpine...) and am so confused. How do I know what I have? It's a '96 S420 with cassette HU. Was more than one system available. How do I tell what it is?

If it's a '96 model car, more than likely it's Bose with a Becker manufactured head unit (it probably looks the same as mine in my '95 C 280). The way to tell for sure if the Bose logos are not visible anywhere (as is the case in my car) is to get in your trunk and look at the bottom of the loudspeakers back there and it will tell you whether Bose made it or not.
