VCM module replacement

VCM module replacement
My phone and voice control mic has stopped working in my Cls55amg.
Since my inside mirror was just replace ( which I assume had new mics
included inside the mirror ), I was looking for a VCM on e-bay.
According to All-data, my VCM is on the far right of the trunk and has one
plug. I noticed some of the units listed on e-bay as VCMs have 2 plugs.
Anybody know if the 2 plug units are really VCMs or UHI modules ?
My unit has the # A211 820 43 85.

the part # for the mirror was 211 810 23 17 9B51.
My Vin # is WDDDJ76X36A049701.
After the mirror was replaced, my voice control worked for a couple of months. I just noticed lately that I had no mic when making a tel. call and then noticed no voice control thru the stalk.
Would the above mirror contain new internals such as the mics and garage door opener controls ?

Why do you feel the VCM got broken suddenly, why not the connector at the rear-view mirror since that part of the car has been dismantled.

Actually, I did remove the mirror and overhead console and didn't find anything unplugged.
Even though I hate the thought of going thru the contortions needed to work on that part of the car
I guess I'll re-check it.
