Dension Bluetooth Issues
Hi all,
Have installed the Dension Bluetooth Module to my Dension Gateway 500 / COMAND APS. It was an easy setup and the sound quality is excellent, however, my phone book is only downloading till D and no more. I kept them connected for about an hour but only shows up to the first 2 entries of D.
Also, Does anything phone related show up on the MFD? When I don't have an ipod connected to the dock cable, and a phone paired via bluetooth, it only shows "TRACK 50".
Can the Bluetooth be switched off during more "public" moments?

Your car has a 250 telephone number hard limit (can not be increased). I won't comment on the rest of the features, even though we are Dension dealers, we choose not to sell this particular product. - hopefully someone else can help on that.

For a 2008 car (built 2007) it is 250 numbers. If one person has 3 numbers, that equals 3 of the 100.
I would rather not comment much on the Dension Gateway 500. We just chose not to sell it in favor of another product we ended up coop producing. The iPod Gateway (D2B) from Dension is a good product, we just don't care for the M.O.S.T. products from Dension, as they are not fully compliant. Other sponsors do sell the 500, and are happy with it.

Well, that's a bit crap! How come they never mention these things anywhere! The documentation for it is also really inadequate.
Cartronics, sorry to ask these questions, but can you inform me of the mfd functionality? Or lack of..

I dont understand the question. You should have phonebook in the MFD when on the phone page in the MFD. Caller ID as well. ALl those functions only work when on that page in the MFD.

I think that is still true on the Dension.... as I said, our iTronic BT is a 100% compliant M.O.S.T. device. The dealers diagnostic equipment even correctly sees it as a Mercedes phone system. Therefore it does EVERY single feature and function the factory system would do properly. The Dension does not last time we tested it.

Your system is very good, but I just couldn't afford to put that sort of money into having an integrated phone in the car. The Dension BT cost me $35 used! LOL. I seem to be finding its many shortcomings quite easily, though!

No problem with that!!! It just does not perform like the original system does, nor have all the features of the original system. For $35 bucks I would be VERY pleased it worked in any fashion at all. Don't be upset about missing features and such, as that is less than a good headset! Enjoy what you have, you got a STEAL of a DEAL

Thanks for the support Cartronics. I guess I will have to live without the integration.
I just wish they would be clear about what their system can and cannot do.

I am not getting any sound from the internal car mics. How did you get yours to work? I have an 03 E500 Sport without the VCS so I was hoping to use the teleaid mics that are in the rear view mirrors.
Any help will be appreciated.

I used the mic that came with the BTA1500 kit and clipped it to the roof lining, next to the interior light console.
Have stopped using it now as it only shows a call connected and in progress....and my phone is off!!
