Hooking up DVD player to Radio...
I have a question....
I want to buy a flip out DVD player, but keep the stock radio. Is the sound quality that bad when you hook up the DVD player to play when you set it to a radio station thats not in use ( i think like 88.8fm). I don't know the exact terminology, but I hope you guys know what I mean.
How is the sound quality when you do this?

.......It is called Fm modulation. It is a very simple and useful way of bringing audio sources to your stock unit. Yes the sound is considered generally poorer than Cd quality sound. However, I have XM radio with my Comand via Fm modulation and the sound is to me indistinguishable from CD quality sound. This is coming from someone who's friends consider an audi/video junkie. So I would say that with DVD sound already superb, what you loose by FM modulation may not be significantly different from CD quality sound except to ear of the most distinguished of audiophiles.
