DVD Installation into SL R230 (TV COMMAND)

SL500 (New 2002 Shape)
DVD Installation into SL R230 (TV COMMAND)
Adding DVD/PS2/CAMCORDER into the command tv unit.

Does anyone have instructions on how to access the TV Command unit on the SL R230 ? I have been told that if you expose the TV box you simply insert a standard 3 pin audio lead red, white and yellow plug into the AUX1 on this unit and a portable DVD player can be plugged straight in.
