Bluetooth for Cell Phone

Hello Everyone,

I just posted in the W203 forum and realized I probably should have posted here instead... The system won't let me re-post the thread. Can you take a look at my questions here please --> https://mbworld.org/forums/c-class-w...ell-phone.html

there's a sticky right above your thread; read a little of that and/or search "prewired" and you'll find that you've got a ways to go. Some have said that prewired means nothing, but if you're car weren't prewired, you'd have to put a new wiring harness in it. Short story: you need that Bluetooth "puck," but first you need MHI/UHI and some other stuff. I did mine for about $500 and two hours. I suggest you talk to Cartronics, a forum sponsor, to see their aftermarket solution, which is simply superior but costs more (search posts by Cartronics and you'll learn a ton), or call Cellguy85, a former MB tech in Cali who's been installing phones in MBs since, well, 1985. I bought my parts from him and he provided critical phone support during my DIY.....Definitely do something though; I cringe whenever I see a Benz driver with a phone to his ear, which is way too often.

Ouch!! If I'm understanding you correctly, it means I would need most / all of the items laid out in this post --> https://mbworld.org/forums/3082763-post2.html

That looks pretty costly!

I found Cellguy85 on ebay and sent him a message.. . I''m waiting for a response.

I checked out Cartronics - and it seems I would still be looking at about $1,000... I was hoping to get this done with a couple of hundred (thought I only needed the puck). Aaaargh!

Thanks for your reply.

Pucks are cheap on MBWorld; get the rest from Cellguy. $500 or so and worth it.
