The manufacturer's part numbers are not the same. Chances are it won't work.

From the research that I have done, the BMW puck will work most of the time in an Mb. I have read some reviews though of some individuals have issues with syncing it. I ended up with the MB part for about $125 off of ebay.

I bought it after i found out the post by MB user that put this BMW v60 bluetooth. The part number is not the same which is obvious as one is form MB and the other form BMW...but as I said, will see. Price different is huge, I paid 140 and, other are much more expensive becaus eit said its for MB...one just was sold for 380!!!

I bought the BMW puck for my 2004 CL it worked perfectly

Yes, the BMW puck works perfectly in the place of the MBZ for my 2004 CL ( that I finally got rid of). I just changed the name on the phone to read MBZ instead of BMW and it paired and worked just fine. Same part different key code and name but cost me NOTHING TO buy 50.00.

I just ordered the BMW one from eBay for $159 vs. high $300s for the MB unit. Will advise if it works with a current model phone in my '03 S55.

FYI, the pucks changed in 04-09 and are different from the 00-04 The 00-04 uses a puck that has a land line type cord and a plug attached to the cradle that you screw into the inner console after you plug it in, where the 04 and up have a snap fit type cradle adapter, which is attached directly to the inner console. Unless you actually have a factory cradle already installed. If that is the case, the small square puck in the only one that will work.
