Hello everyone I have a 2006 E320 CDI with the Command head unit. I am having some static in my music and read it could be a bad external amp. I took the trunk apart and could not find it. Also is there a way to know for sure if the system is fiber optic based or not?

 

it is fiber optic and it is on the left side of the trunk, behind the fuse block, tucked way back where you wouldn't think it would be. basically follow the outside rear quarter forward and you will run into it.
