SL class: some facts of Bose system
1. Bose amplifier's location : under the CD changer .
2. How to see it : remove all back panels .
3. Fuse of the amplifier : 20A
4. Connections to the amplifier : d2b glass fiber line and one
26 pin connector.
5. Speakers:
2 ( 1 woofer and 1 tweeter/medium) at the right oor
2 ( 1 woofer and 1 tweeter/medium) at the left door
1 center tweeter behind the digital clock
2 tweeter below the rear parking sensor indicator.
1 (or 2 ?? : subwoofer ) beneath the glove box.
6. According to MBUSA, there are 8 speakers including 4 X 6 inch.
I don't know whether the number of subwoofer is 1 or 2.
7. Amplifier pin number designation :
Rear 2 tweeters(parallel connection): 10 - , 18+
Sub woofer : 11 - , 19+
Left tweeter/medium : 13+, 21-
Right tweeter/medium : 14-,22+
Left woofer : 15- , 23+
Center tweeter : 16+ , 24-
Right woofer : 17-, 25 +
8. Modification of the amplifier( ex. adding an additonal amplifier):
possible if you use multi high-low converters ( I am going to
add 6 ch amplifier and some additional speakers). In this case,
you don't have to sacrifice the COMAND functions.
