Can I connect to Merc’s BT handsfree & a 3rd party BT music device at the same time?

Hi! Anyone has experience of using Bluetooth music adaptor for Media Interface while connecting to the Mercedes’ original Bluetooth handsfree at the same time using the same phone?

I am interested in buying the ViseeO Tune2Air WMA1000 Bluetooth wireless music adaptor which claims to be working with any in-car iPod connections such as Mercedes’ Media Interface. It claims it will just work like a normal Media Interface with iPod connection except it is wireless and I don’t need to have my iPhone actually attached to the Media Interface or buy an extra iPod which I don’t really use often since I only use iPhone to listen to music and perform all my other tasks. As described, once connected it will allows me to display the entire music, browse the music list on the NTG screen, I can also see the song info, and control the music from the radio buttons and steering wheel which sounds interesting as I have not come across any other product on the market that allows a wireless display of iPod library.

However, I use Mercedes’ Bluetooth handsfree a lot so I was wondering if I would be able to connect to my current in-car Bluetooth handsfree while connecting to Tune2Air adaptor at the same time? The webpage info seems to say ok but as I know Bluetooth is 1 to 1 connection isn’t it? Has anyone got idea? Would really appreciate if anyone can help me out here. Cheers~

I have tried and tested WMA1000 in a GL with no issue as long as it is used with MB 30 pin iPod cable.
The iphone4S handled both the Tune2air and the MB Puck with no issue.

Will this adaptor work without MB puck? I have Ipod cables in my glove box and just want to stream my music without hooking up Iphone.

WMA1000 Bluetooth works independent to the Puck. As long as you have the MB factory Ipod interface with 30 pin, it works with no problem.

Interesting product, a little pricey. Original poster works for the company as well.

What year of the GL you tried on? and what ipod cable you have the black or white connector? I have 07 GL with ipod cable(white connector) want to try the tune2air. I have tried few bluetooth receiver from ebay and it did not work.

ML 350
I have a 2008 ML350 with the ipod plug in the dashboard. When I plug in an ipod now it does not show anything on the screen in the center, but I can (painfully) control it through the screen above the steering wheel.

I'd like to make this bluetooth compatible and was thinking of using the tune2air but it looks like I may need the Mercedes Media Interface which I do not have and looks to only be compatible with 2009+ models.

I don't really care about having the screen show all the options, fine navigating on my iphone5 itself, but want to be able to use blue tooth. Anyone know if the tune2air will work? or recommend another model?

Tune2Air vs. MB-3 Bluetooth Adapter.

Hi.

I have a UHI / MHI connector like this on the picture, can I use Tune2Air WMA1000 to stream music from my Spotify account on my iPhone in CD quality and incl. to see information on the display in the instrument cluster. Or I really need an MB-3 Bluetooth Adapter
http://www.viseeostore.com/products/...seeo-mb-3.html

The MB-3 Bluetooth Adapter is so much more expensive so I hope that Tune2Air can do it.

Kind regards,
TWC.

mCAR Bluetooth

This is the best one. I got it from eBay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/271395945115
It is only $300 and does phone, ipod, straming, handsfree and USB as the original OEM with good quality.

I did put mine behind the head unit but it is tight and it fits close. An installer suggested me to put it on the side of the central console or if you do not mind the cables the glove box is OK too. The USB you can wire to the glove box or as I did remove the power plug and used the grommet in the box so I have USB by the ash tray instead.

hi,

i have tried the visseo on the media interface and it works fine..

where i have a problem is my phone calls on the mb puck get messed up every few seconds when the visseo is setup... its like the iPhone 5s is getting confused between mb puck phone call and visseo streaming..

don't know what to do to resolve it...

any thoughts??

The phone and the CDC are on different channels with different network IDs, so it seems that Viseo is not turning off when sources change. It is always better to have one unit managing both channels: the stereo for the media piece and the mono for the phone. the mCAR unit had a problem initially to equalize the volume on those 2 channels especially when phone call arrives but they have fixed it.
