Vehicle is jerky
Just picked up a 2019 E63 that has 60K miles. There's a 15-day warranty on the trans, engine etc. When in S+ mode, as the vehicle is coming to a rolling stop, the vehicle jerks a little. I dont notice anything in the upshifts. What could be the reason?

Take it back to dealer and go for a test drive with shop foreman for an extended test drive. Ask for service history of the vehicle and if it is cpo, then ask for what fluids and parts were replaced/changed.
Tell dealer this car is pretty well due for full tranny fluid change and if they did not do it, they should do it (saves you about $1k)

Great idea. All I was shown was the carfax and that it was single owner vehicle. The carfax didnt have much on it (screenshot attached)
Also, on a separate note I am thinking of getting a warranty on this, which will cover almost everything. It will be about 6K for a total of 5 years/ additional 60K miles. Given that this is my first ever German car and that I have always been a Lexus person, maintainence on the AMG is scaring the crap out of me lmao. Having said that, I have spend almost 1-2K on the GS350 each year.
Thanks for the quick responses BobbleHead
Looks like nothing has been done..

also recommend resetting the adaptation after the fluid flush, agreed with the other forum member that tranny fluid is due.

If you have read other threads, the prefacelift ones are prone to RMS, excessive tire wears, electronics, etc.
you should also make sure those mentioned issues are currently not evident on yours. Going to an indy shop for inspection is also a good idea as well.

btw, i received a recall notice from a defect fuel line leak a few weeks ago. Ask your dealer if your vin is in that grouping.. for 2018-2023 E class, S class, AMG GT, etc

What you're feeling may be normal, from my experience when coming to a stop in Sport+ the trans does downshift from 2 to 1 and the feeling is a little abrupt or "jerky". I have 58k on 2018 e63s. Still not a bad idea to have a reputable independent shop you trust with experience with this car give their opinion.

Don't drive around town in S+. S+ is for sporty open road driving. There've been plenty of discussions on this. Do some searching. This transmission has a clutch, not a torque converter. Shift manually if you are tooling around and/or use the proper mode for the given situation. Do around town driving in C.

my 2018 is very jerky in S+ or race mode. it is being very responsive as it is expecting you to stab the accelerator at any moment. all race setups do this. that is why there are other modes, to smooth all that out.
