Will my theory work?
Hi everyone, I have a 2010 R350 with the MB split cable (30 pin and 3.5mm AUX).
In addition to my iPod, which I have permanently plugged to the 30 pin connector, I would like to stream Pandora via Bluetooth. So I've been doing a little bit of research and I think I found a solution. I'm just not sure if it will work. So here's my plan:
1. Purchase this 3.5mm to Bluetooth adapter and connect it to the 3.5mm jack, which will allow me to stream music via COMAND.
2. Purchase this splitter cable, which will allow me to connect a new iPod on one end (the 8 pin connector) and charge the Bluetooth adapter on the other (micro USB).
The challenge to this project is that I need a power source (USB/Micro USB) to keep the 3.5mm/Bluetooth adapter charged. Otherwise, I would have to constantly take it out of the car to charge it.
What do you guys think? Is there a chance this will work? Any other ideas (please consider that I want to keep the ability to do both -- iPod and BT stream)
