But the other phones you CAN use with your kit are:
5110, 5150, 5190
6110, 6130, 6150, 6190
6210, 6250
6310, 6310i
However, all those phones will not work with US providers...so it might not be that useful. You can find a 5190 on eBay every once in a while for $20, that makes a good backup to use with the kit, and it works with Cingular (and probably T-mobile and AT&T, just haven't tested it).

thanks scorchie!
i already have a 6310i Steve put in my car last week, and it's working great! Just wondering if I could have put a nokia 6108 in, or any other manufacturer's phone, but I suppose not, since the connector pins are in different spots?
thanks again!

Too bad Steve couldn't do mine, But it wouldn't work anyway, the headunit I got was too big for the openning. After some thought, I have abondended the Mercedes fiber optic idea and go with a Alpine IVA D900 with a navigation and Nokia phone kit integrated together and would work like a Command unit. It can play DVD movie too but not that I would if I am driving.
