First of all, why do you need one for your vehicle? It came with it, right?

Now, that being said, I keep hearing that Comand is a better way to go, but I need to understand what that means in terms of my current system. If I get the MCS, I can still keep my 6 disc changer, which I love.
So, any information you could give me would help alot. I am just about to buy a MCS and don't want to make the wrong choice. Thanks.

I should have been more clear -- I have a '99 ML430 and I want to retrofit it with the MCS that comes in the 2000 and later. I currently have the Bose system with the 6 disc cd changer.

Also, in either case, you will need to add your speed pulse hardware. With MCS you will also need a geräte adapter.
For more information on COMAND, search on that topic here.
