Surround with SiriusXM

I noticed that some posts mention artifacts when listening to the highly compressed audio from SiriusXM satellite. As a specialist in streaming audio I'm always sensitive to that swishy underwater sound that accompanies badly encoded audio or in the case of satellite, bandwidth-challenged content. Best way to make it sound natural is to turn off the Logic7 surround in the Comand sound menu. I don't know who decides what surround algorithms to use but Logic7 + SiriusXM sounds horrible. It just interferes with the decoding of the already compressed audio from the satellite and does weird things with the stereo perception. I recommend that MB consider talking to their countrymen at Fraunhofer Institut in Erlangen, Germany. Fraunhofer invented MP3 and perfected AAC (MP4.) An inferior surround decoder in a great car like Mercedes is unfortunate.
