no power to uhi contact plate
I have a 2007 CLK550 cabriolet that was "prewired" (code 387) for a phone. I installed the contact plate in the center console and connected the 2 wire leads. I purchased a ViseeO MB4 and attached it to the plate per instructions and do not get any power to the unit. Is there a fuse that I need to install somewhere in the truck to power-up this circuit? Thanks for any help!!

Almost certain that they would not put a fuse to power up a harness that is not in use. Do you have the fuse chart for your car, either from one of your fuse boxes or at the trunk where your tools are?

What exactly did you get from Cellguy (and who is Cellguy?) - I have a 2008 e320 Bluetec and just bought the Viseeo MB-4 and it gets no power when plugged in either.

You are probably missing the MHI control unit. Cell guy is Keith Valentine, he is very knowledgeable with MB phone systems. I have known him for many years. He usually has the components available since he purchased all MBs stock. I think he sells some stuff on ebay.

Unfortunately, the CTEL interface module, that is SUPPOSED to be located in the trunk is indeed missing. So, $279 for the MB-4, $90 at the shop to determine why I didn't have power to the UHI plug, only to learn that the previous owner removed the CTEL. MB wants $1150 for the part, so it looks like I'm going to be without Bluetooth in this one.
