V60 Problem with the phone

V60 Problem with the phone
I have the Motorola V60 for Verizon installed my 02 SLK. For the third time, the phone itself has decided to play dead. Meaning--when the phone is not in the cradle in the car, it appears to be unable to get a signal. I'm taking it back in, presumably to have the phone replaced again.
My suspicion every time (and confirmed this time) is that these symptoms start just after removing the phone from the cradle in the car. From a non-technical perspective, it seems as though the cradle somehow jars something loose in the phone. Has anyone heard of this happening? Or should I just get used to it?

Check to see if the power wire is not loosed or any connector to the box. I would take it back to Verizon and have them check the whole installation.
