NTG4 W204 question

Hi everybody.
I originally had Audio 50 APS with 6cd and DVD Navi in my 2009 C Class.
Unfortunately it stopped reading discs, no Sat Nav or listening to favourite albums. Mercedes wanted £1600 for head unit and I couldn't find Audio 50 on ebay, It's full of Audio 20's and NTG4's. I decided to upgrade to NTG4 and bought one on Ebay. I rewired power cable for monitor and installed the unit with correct fans etc. After switching car on, all my menus on the clock becomes German (or Dutch?), monitor went up and Mercedes logo showed up, after that screen went down and up again but black screen.
Unit doesn't produce any display or sound. When driving it showing where I am on the speedometer, and it shows stuff like radio freq and cd tracks. But black screen and no sound.
Is that faulty Comand or needs re programming on the STAR?
Many thanks for any inputs.

The Comand will default to the last city it was in and coded for. You may not have the correct unit for your car model.

Thx for the reply.
It's for sure an incorrect unit for my model. I had Audio50 APS before.
I got option to return this Comand so I didn't wanted to spend money re-programming if unit is faulty.
I need to know if it's normal for NTG4 to go black screen in new environment.

I would refer this case to the fine folks at comandonline sales@comandonline.co.uk they know more than most of what you can and can't do and they can supply you with the correct parts and expertise.

Ha. Comes out that I live close to comand online guys. Richard did check my unit and reprogramed but screen shutting itself and doesn't close properly. We will check against working unit next week after well deserved holidays. At least I got sound for now.
