2002 C230 Kompressor
theres a little screw (T-20, i think) holding the bracket in place at the top of the glovebox. its on the right side of the changer... if you feel around you'll find it. unscrew this screw (it's a bit of a PITA as there's not a lot or room to work with) and the bracket and changer will slide to the right and you'll be able to pull it out. there's a power cable and a fiber cable that will need to be detached. you'll also need to get behind the radio and take the changer FO cable out of the loop.

hard? depends on how handy you are. having installed one - and having taken my car apart a few times - i could probably have the whole thing out and everything back together in less than 10 minutes. the most difficult part of the install (for me) was putting that little screw in. you'll need a really short screwdriver to do it probably. you may want to check out the PDF that i put together on how to install the changer - and work backwards.
