How does the aux female plug work on the Ipod B67824578 interface plug into?

How does the aux female plug work on the Ipod B67824578 interface plug into?
I bought the MIP and it works but it vocally says, "To watch this video, go to video and change the input to auxiliary". How do I do that with an Ipod or IPhone? What does that auxiliary female lead cable,plug into? So video can stream through to the head unit?
