ok let me be more specific. how much would just the install cost? i imagine it must be challenging because of the fiber optics. i'd be installing it along with a ps2. figure the tv will cost give or take a thousand i'm trying to get a ballpark figure of what the total cost would be...

A professional installation will run you about $300-400. Cost of the unit varies, depend on the brand/model that you selected.

Whether your car use fiber optic or not, believe it or not, is not a problem (of course, a crook installer will make up story and tell you otherwise). The reason is because it's highly likely that the audio of the TV/monitor will be fed to you audio system via FM modulator, and that's totally independent of the fiber optic system.

I know, because I had the system installed in my car, and several of my friend's cars.

thanks zam. i'm still contemplating whether or not i'd want to do this. if i do, i'd want the 15" flip down like i mentioned. have a ps2 control it with wireless controllers. possibly 2 monitors in the visors or perhaps just upgrade the COMAND monitor to watch from?...

Hey Armani S500

Go with the 42" plasmas instead ...J/k Don't forget to post pics when you get it installed.

Richard
