I have not, but I do communicate with the owner of Arc and I do know that he strives to be awesome. I have used audison bit10 and bit1, also rockford fosgate .... i am an audison person, but i am sure you would have no issues with their gear when professionally installed

Any recommendations on either of the above? Price/performance difference? Many years ago I was trained in the military as an Electronics Tech. Then into the Audio business for 25 yrs. I am now long retired from all this but always looking for something better. Have 5.1 system in my home,a Valentine V1 in my car etc. This is probably my last MB so I am always interested in better sound. My new 2015 ML2580BT has most of MB's electronic Nannies on it but not the HK. Have very good local installer who has done several mods for me over the years. He is recommending the ARC processor & a larger power amp. Looking for all the advice & help that I can get before investing $2k+/-.

i'm audison hands down, everything they do or have is better than anyone else in performance, quality, and build. They take audio seriously. personally if you were closer I would recommend Access 1 Alarm, they know a lot about your vehicle and would be able to bypass the optical amp without summing the outputs for a much better quality of sound.

jbondox: good info. I was raised in Cleveland but relocated over 40 yrs. ago.

Appreciate any info you can supply about my audio upgrade on my ML. Have you had this done? If so a ballpark cost? Any specific recommendations for my ML? More info re.Access 1 Alarm. Possibly a phone # or who to contact?

Winston Salem... Have very good installer that I have used for several years.

Randy @ Autogressive. He has already scoped my system. Response curves look like a sine wave;nowhere near flat.
