Hello everyone, I just bought a 2008 E350. I had the C300 before this and have noticed that the comand unit is the E350 seems worse than the 2008 C300 comand. The only thing I can think of is that the software is out of date in the E350. I did purchase the 2015 Nav. update DVD, but is there an update for the command unit also? If there is how do I go about getting the update. I believe I have the NTG1 command unit in the car now. I have also thought maybe just go with an aftermarket unit instead. Any suggestions or thoughts are needed.

I had both 08E350 & 08C350. The W204 C class navigation is much better (quicker, more precise locations...) because it's HD base, the E350 is DVD base, it's slow, old tech navigation. that why my C350 is my prefer car to drive on the road trip. Newer DVD navi do not help at all on the E class. Nothing you can do but 09E350 will have the same Navi technology (HD base) as 08 C class. There is NO UPDATE for the Navi on 08 E class as I know.
