Hello,

I recently bought a used R171 - SLK (2007, pre-facelift), with the 2004-2008 audio 20. The car is great however I am very frustrated wiht audio 20 because
-It doesn't pair with my phone
-It doesn't have an AUX in
-It doesn't have a USB in (nothing in the glove compartment)
-It doesn't even play burned mp3-CDs

it's basically just a radio with a cd unit. To be fair, I am greatly impressed with the quality of the sound system (speakers) even when using radio. I would like to either play mp3s from a USB stick or play music from my phone or both. I am not an expert in car audio but from my research I concluded that my options are:

1.an fm transmitter for my android phone
2.an fm transmitter for the car's 12V socket that connects with phone through Bluetooth
3.modding an AUX in to audio 20
4.modding a usb in to audio 20 (not sure if it's even possible)
5.replacing the audio 20 unit with the newest version
6.any other option ??

I don't think I will be able to use the steering wheel's controls with any option besides 5.

I would kindly ask you to help me consider the above options and provide any relevant advice on cost / quality of each option. I am not in to DYI so any option that requires modification will be done by a professional.
