CL55 AMG: Need help with AUX setup!
Anyways, the previous owner of the car had some sort of aux input setup. I'm having trouble figuring out. I'll post a few pictures below of what it looks like.
He had the wires running through the console instead of running through the glove box which I think is nice.
What I'm trying to figure out is how to "activate" it I guess, of course there's no "aux" button on the head unit so there must be a different way to switch to the aux input. Have any of you guys seen this before? If so, how does it work?
Thanks a ton
So i have a late 2002 model (i believe one of the first of the facelift) with BOSE and it has an AUX input in the glovebox on the left hand side. I am unsure if this is from factory or a retrofit, although it is accessed via SVC>AUX on the head unit.
My problem lies that on FM/AM or CD, i am getting full audio response from the BOSE system (which i am currently getting quotes to upgrade although no one can give me a straight answer) but on the AUX port, the Low end is completely hampered.. so the Mid's in the doors are hardly producing anything and nor is the Sub on the rear shelf, producing a completely neutral sound.
Has anyone had the same experience or shed some light on why this is happening?
I have played around with all the settings and its all set up properly..
I spoke to a few audio guys to get a 3rd Party Subwoofer installed in the boot but they are also saying they will pick up the frequency from the original BOSE sub, which doesnt seem to be getting any signal frequencies in AUX mode so this may be pointless!!
Going round in circles!! Any help would be appreciated
Thank you!
