2004 Euro Command Dvd Player On Dash

Hello everyone, I need help with something. I have a 2004 E500 in california. I have a EURO COMMAND system in the vehicle right now. This EURO COMMAND system can play DVD right on the screen. One problem. Because it is a EURO COMMAND, the system only plays DVD in region 2. So if I insert a US DVD (region 1) it wouldn't work. With a non-regional coded DVD, it plays fine. Is there anyway to set the regional code to 1 or set it to multi-regional? Also, when the DVD plays, when the car is travelling more than 5 mph, the screen fades out due to safety reasons, is there any software that can bypass that feature? If anyone has any idea, share the wealth. Thanks

I recently bought at 2004 SL500. Did you have to special order the Euro Command for your E500? I want my screen to play TV and DVD video, but I understand I have to undergo substantial modifications to make that happen.

Any info you can provide is appreciated.

With a EURO COMMAND having the latest software, it will play DVD's and TV... I'm just trying to figure out how to get rid of the feature where the picture fades out at 5mph

I'm sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but can you tell me how you got the Euro Command for your US car?

I would be very interested in doing the same thing

You would have to go to your dealer to remove the safety triggers for the screen fading at 5mph. I think all the dealers have updated star diag software that will NOT let them do this. I bought my comand from STeve fully unlocked so TV works fine even while driving.

This is the tool to unlock the Speed limit for MB command. It allows you to watch TV after 5m.

Hi, for Euro Comand DVd is possible to disable tv interlocks for watch tv in motion and set Zone 0 or 1 the DVD unit.
