W216 CL550 System Install
Had my new audio system installed last week. Audison Bit One; Voce 5.1k amp; Hertz HSK 165 comps in factory locations; 2 10 inch Diamond Audio M6 subs in sealed box. So far I'm loving the sound quality. Install done by Lance Doss at Newport Autosound in Costa Mesa, CA.. Stock sub removed; bass is tight and clean sounding in cabin.

Nice system rpr2! Sorry I saw your post so late. Still have the system? Taking the high level outputs from the factory amp into the Audison to maintain factory COMAND sources and integration? Using any other sources direct into the Audison like a DAP? Got any more photos?
I just bought an 09 CL550 which I'm looking to upgrade.

Yes, I still have the system. In fact I just upgraded the speakers to Hertz Mille Pro's. Factory COMAND still fully functional; the Bit One takes the signal from the factory amp and does it's magic. I added a Astell & Kerns Hi Res AK120 player via optical to the system. Wow! This thing sounds amazing through the system. I have it in place of my Ipod. I also added a mobile hotspot from T-Mobile to stream TIDAL through the player in hi-res. It works flawlessly and sounds fantastic. I'll take some more pics soon. Just had the upgrade done last week by Lance Doss at Newport Autosound in Costa Mesa, CA. They are outstanding installers and work on high end cars all the time. Best wishes.

MA043HA,
Here are a few more pics of my system. The amp rack is mounted to the sealed sub enclosure. The two 10 inch subs are firing up into the cabin through the opening created by removing the stock sub. The audison sampling rate converter was required since my bitone can't natively handle the hi-res sample rates from my Astell & Kerns player. I have the player connected via optical cable to the bitone.

Any chance to see some of those pictures Rudy? Your system was inspiring to me and I went with a pro install at Sound In Motion in Boston. Dynaudio Esotec 2 way active in the doors and Illusion Audio 10" sub in a custom enclosure in the passenger kick/floorboard. Sinfoni 4 channel amp and a separate strapped 2 channel Sinfoni for the sub. Mosconi Aerospace 8-12 is the brains of the systems. It also takes the signals from the factory amp for radio/CD changer inputs but adds a Mosconi BT module to the dsp for wireless and a FiiO x5 iii DAP coaxial digital for the best input SQ. I'll be starting a thread soon with pictures.

I plan to upgrade my speakers to the Dynaudio Esotec's too. I have the tweeters already. I bought a set of used MW 182's but they won't fit in my doors without extensive cutting/modification; which I don't want to do. So I'm going to use MW 162's which my installer says will fit fine. MA043HA, which mid-bass drivers did you use?
Thanks for the large clear pics. Nice looking install. I'll bet it sounds excellent!
