V60i phone in 2001 E430
I am asking for the help and advise from my esteemed fellow members:
Recently purchased a new Motorola V60i phone on eBay to replace the aging TimePort I'd been using. The TimePort was part of the fully integrated factory phone system on my 2001 E430.
I ordered the cradle for the new V60i (part number Q6820725), since I knew I'd need that.
Are there any other components I need? Has anyone made this upgrade before? Obviously, my car already has the PSE installed in the trunk. I want to make sure the PSE is correct for the new phone handset.

You may need a new PSE ....
In 2001-2002 there were two different PSE's that could be installed. One worked with the Timeport only, and the other with both the Timeport and V60/V60i. You will need to verify the part number of your PSE.
The Timeport only is Q682 0648
The Timeport/V60 is Q682 0754
More than likely you will have the 0648
If you need to upgrade buy the latest PSE which is Q682 0845.
If you want the Installation Bulletin for your model year "E" send me an e-mail address that can handle large file size (2.5MB .PDF) and I will send it to you. It will show you where the PSE is located and how to mount the new cradle.
Everything else should work fine and you won't have to have the D2B network version coded since you already have a phone installed.

The Timeport/V60 is Q682 0754
