2011 e350 cabriolet, 2017 e300 4matic atic,
Command control knob
The control knob on my 2011 e350 cab doesn't do anything when it is turned left or right such as when you spell out a song title in music register. It works when pressed or tilted up and down or left or right. Any suggestions?

Bumping this thread... the knob on my car just quit suddenly. Did it crap out or hopefully there is a setting

The early ones break quite a lot. There is an aftermarket repair kit you can find on eBay if you are willing to disassemble it.

My W204 (2012 C350) COMAND know also just quit working. For mine, it wouldn't always respond to the wheel being clicked once. This has happened for a few weeks. Then suddenly, it quit working altogether this weekend. Videos I see talk about a small rod that breaks in half, but I suspect that would be a catastrophic failure without warning. The fact that mine was "acting up" for a while makes me wonder if it's a contact problem that requires some alcohol cleaning. Does anyone know if that's a "common" problem?
