New Pioneer Head Unit Please HELP!!!!
I recently bought a 95 Mercedes E320. I ordered a pioneer cd player for it, i have no clue as to what i have to do to install it. They do not sell a wiring harness for my car and im a bit confused. I spoke to a popular stereo shop In Houston and they told me that all i have to do is cut the factory wires and hook them up to my new Pioneer. I just need a clue on instalation instructions.....I really need them.....Thanks to all those kind enough to help!!!!

Current : '91300D Turbo (124) & 89 190D Past: 240D / 300SD / 300D Turbo(123)
here's an idea
Being in Houston, I would purchase one from Mobile One. I purchased an in-cash radio/CD from Mobile One and they did a good job wiring it in. In addition, the instalation is warrantied as long as you own the car. My crummy OME Becker radio, (the one with the tuner & amp in the trunk) required quite a bit of wiring around original equipment. I would not attempt to mess with it myself.

Thanks for the advice i am in North dakota now and well the stereo guys are scared to mess with my car. How much did the charge you in Houston for the instalation. So it is possible to drop the unit in is just complicated to install it right?

I have seen wiring harnesses for mercedes. But anyways, if you want to do it the long way, your head unit should have a whole bunch of different colored wires. The manual should tell you which wires are for which speakers. To match them up to your car, take a AA battery and rub one end of a wire to the + and another wire to the -. Do this until you hear a buzzing noise from your speakers. If you hear a buzzing sound coming from one of your speakers, you have found the right combination of wires. Do this for all, then attach the black to black, red to red, orange to orange, and blue if u have a blue.

I am always for the simple solution.
Thats not a problem at all.
You may want to get a wiring adapter that fits onto the car harness, that you dont have to cut any car wires. To order, call Crutchfield, or the Becker parts dept. at 888 423 3537 x1209 and ask for MB power and speaker adapter # 5000.453-276
For oem radio pin out see http://www.beckerautosound.com/1492.html
Match the adapter cable to your new radio wiring and the rest is plug and play.
