How many of you guys have that head unit. If so, see if you can post some pics of it.

i do. ill admit im biased towards alpine, cause that the only head units i've ever bought, but it really is the best unit they have. people try and tell me the pioneer screen is clearer/brighter, but at 6.5 inches, i cant tell if it is or not.

i dont have the tv tuner in my car. i've demo the alpine tv tuner and it just plainly sucks. 1) its too expensive and 2) it only receive like 2 1/2 channels. i was riding in a friends car with it and he had nbc, abc, and 1/2 of fox. meaning it would only come in half the time. i dont really want to spend the cash to watch tv in my car anyways. i mostly use my vcr to record stuff and play it back in the car. especially music videos email me directly if you want to know the specific prices of my equipment. (remember i got all this installed almost two years ago already)

Thanks for you help byip25. All I want to know was how much was for the labor, because I got the same set up as you. Just a suggestion, PS2 would like nice in your Benz as well.

i dont even have ps2 for my house yet! i still play psx. i think that would be really distracting too because you have to have your hands off the wheel. i wnat to add alpine dvd-changer next and alpine mp3 compatible cd changer

Kenwood Excelon KVT911DVD
Has anybody had any experience with these? It seems to have a ton of features (dvd/cdr/tv tuner/touch screen) for the money. I have seen them go for as low as $1600.
Others I am considering are the Alpine IVA 801/5205 DVD combo
or the Pioneer Pioneer AVX-P7300DVD/AVD-8000 combo.
My head hurts from research and I am looking for some input.
Thanks,
Rich

rickyg, i would go w/ alpine.... also, alpine makes a new cd-changer model this year that is also mp3 compatible (cd-r/cd-rw compatible) and a dvd-changer now.
