iPhone X Bluetooth issues
I recently purchased an iPhone X and have had it constantly drop and reconnect the Bluetooth signal to the Comand system,. This is the case with both my '12 SLK350 and my '13 ML350. Apple replaced the phone thinking it was a handset issue however the new headset is doing the same thing.
Is anyone else having the same problem?
Thanks.

I have the same issue with my 2017 AMG C43. Apple used a new BT5.2 standard chip in the iphone X. Apple forum has lots of others complaining of similar issues. .Called my local MB dealer. As expected they said there was no firmware update for Command.system. Said it was a phone issue.
My issue is some times Pandora or Spotify say bluetooth paused when starting the car. Sometime it starts playing but no track info and next track doesn't work. Sometimes it just works. I suspect it is an incompatibility with the new chip. Probably MB implemented something in old standard that isn't currently working with new chip and IOS 11. I have ios 11.1.2 and issue persists. I guess we just hope Apple fixes it in a future patch.Apple is famous for having issue like this with new standards. But MB probably has some issue that just worked before.
With my previous iphone which had ios 11 I saw no issues. It would resume Pandora or Spotify when I started the car and selected Media.

Follow up. I contacted Apple Support. They ran a remote diagnostic test on my phone. Didn't report any Bluetooth issues. Then they had me go to Settings -> General -> Rest All Settings. This does delete all your settings such as location services, wallpaper, ringtones, etc .Recommend you have a backup before trying this.It has been a couple of days and it seems to have fixed my issues. I think the issue is I chose the option to setup my phone from iCloud backup. This must have put some incompatible Bluetooth setting. Your mileage may vary....

2012 GL550
2012 GL550 ,Command Not Connecting to iphone
Just purchased a 2k12 GL550 and the Command will not connect to my iphone 8 for music streaming. I have it hardwired, but I'd like to know if this is a inexpensive fix or should I just stick with the workaround??

Same identical issue with my 17 GLC300, plus many more. Scheduled to go in for service on Friday, if I have anything worthy of posting, I will.

Having the same problem
Hi ... I am having the same problem in my Mercedes with my iPhone X and Bluetooth pausing when google maps or other apps are trying to send sound through the command system.
I reset my iPhone as well, but the problem still occurs.
Have you managed to find a fix for yours yet ?

S213, TWO iPhoneXs with distorted BT audio on media playback
Just got back from leaving my wife's 2018 E400 Wagon at the dealer overnight to track down a distorted audio problem with our COMAND system. They said they ran a bunch of tests and reviewed tech bulletins for guidance, and found nothing wrong. It is definitely NOT working properly.
It only happens if we try to play music on either of our iPhoneX phones over the bluetooth media connection - playing the exact same track over the tethered iPod interface sounds just fine. I've deleted and repaired both phones several times, and also just Reset All Settings on my iPhoneX and repaired - the problem won't go away.
Has anyone run into this problem? Does anyone have a workaround, or can point me to some tech bulletin that may help?
The dealer was a complete waste of time. I'm ticked off enough that there's no wireless CarPlay support, and that if you want to use tethered CarPlay you can't fit the phone in the wireless charging pad.

I heard that upgrading the iOS system helps solve the problem. However, you can try to reset Bluetooth first.
