Best Location For Sat Antenna!
I MOUNTED SAT ANTENNA ON REAR DECK LID BEHIND CENTER HEAD REST INSIDE CAR FOR BEST RECEPTION. i HAD IT UNDER THE REAR DECK AND THE RECEPTION WAS POOR

I hope you guys are referring to hat tray, parcel shelf, rear deck, etc. (I suppose the first poster is because it was mounted "inside").
Deck lid = trunk... under the deck lid would indeed give very poor reception.

I have an XM antenna on top of the shelf behind the right rear headrest. It is totally unobtrusive; it does not catch your eye at all from inside or outside the car. Reception is fine. I get occasional drop-outs, but so did I in another car with an XM antenna on the roof.

both my sirius and comand antennas are mounted under the dash behind the instrument cluster of my w203. totally hidden. in the 8 months w/ comand and 5 with sirius i've never had any problems whatsoever.

I would follow the factory instructions (Star Bulletin) - anything else (Sirius radio with factory warranty) is not covered under warranty.

I had mine installed Tuesday under the rear deck in the corner on the passenger side. Reception has been as good as I have experienced in other setups with Sat radio. Will get some cutouts if I get trapped under an overpass. Otherwise reception is flawless in my short test.
