W211 CD Text

Hi

Does anyone know how to get CD text i.e Album and track names showing with the W211 COMAND system.

I've tried adding them via Windows Media Player without success.

TIA

I use Roxio Toast (need a certain version or newer).

Names show up just fine on my COMAND. Incidentally, they do not show up if the disc is played in the internal DVD drive if the disc is a CD; I haven't tried with a DVD burned with audio tracks, but apparently some of the other users have had success as well as showing album covers (which I do not know how to include with version 5 of Toast, it may be a version 6 thing).

I thought we only have a CD-ROM drive in our North American COMAND units? I also use Roxio Toast with CD-Text enabled, I do recall some limitation playing it in the single dash CD player, I think the songs show up ok, just not the album name?

Can't remember exactly.

That's right - with the player it's just the songs, with the changer it's the "album title" and the songs

I have a Euro COMAND... and Fastbuck (original thread starter) probably has a Euro COMAND as he is located in the UK.

I can never remember exactly either... it's a recent thing.
