W208 Comand installation instructions
Hi,
I need the installation instructions for 01 CLK430! Purchased a comand unit from Steve (MBenzNL) and he did not provide any instructions. Yes, I e-mailed him several times and got no response (I believe he is in Norway). For now any help will be appreciated.

I Would also second that!...Wait until you hear back from Steve
The W208 Comand Is Not that hard...But If you are NOT sure re the Install IE Adding the speed signal wire and cutting the console..Also you will need the radio removal keys

Here is a message I posted several days ago on the W208 Forum. Hope it helps....
Steve usually includes some install tips with the shipment, but the following directions will probably get you what you need:

The hardest part is cutting out the middle din slot and tapping into the speed sensor wire. I provided some directions on this a few weeks ago:

Comand was installed successfully. Thanks for all the help.
Initially I placed the antenna behide the glove compartment and on average the comand would picked up no more than 3 sat. and 00 sat at other times. But after I moved it to above the IC and now it always pick up on average 7-8 sat on the road and 4-5 sat in my garage.
