CarPlay
I've been reading up on activating CarPlay on my 2015 CLA. There seems to be a few "conditions" that must be met before it is possible:
-You must have COMAND NTG5.1 Audio System / Audio20 head unit
-Mercedes CarPlay Activation Module
-To use CarPlay you will need to install the smartphone integration package. Part Number A2468203800
According to my VIN breakdown, I have COMAND APS NTG5/NTG5.5. I don't know is this a newer or older firmware version. Does anyone know?
If it's an older firmware I can get the stealership do the firmware upgrade whole they do the airbag recall.

I think all you need is the activation module and the SIP. It should also be cheaper than a third-party interface. For those of us that are in the NTG4x world, we have to go the third-party route. Now if you want wireless Carplay on your 2017, then you would have to go the third-party route as well. I have a wireless solution in mine, but frankly, I like keeping my phone wired for charging, especially if I'm running WAZE and other apps....
