New install amps and drivers C-Coupe.

Almost finished it's still dusty, added new drivers and amps. We added MB Quart PSD 216's and Rkc 116's in the doors. Mounting the midbass in the rear door and the Coaxials in the front with the tweeters from the components in the shark fins. We made custom box and placed it in the tire well. Mounted the amps (RF's 400x4 and 1000bd for the sub) in the floor and also made a cover so I can cover it up to use the hatch back if I need to.

How do you like the MB Quart PSD 216's? I was thinking of getting a set of those for my C-coupe. I'm considering either those or the Focal 165K2 component set.

Did you put anything in the second 6.5" location in the doors? I'm contemplating trying to figure out some way of getting some extra midbass by using those locations. MB Quart makes a crossover for their higher-end system--the Q series--that allows you to have two 6.5 midrange speakers with one tweeter and adjust it so that the levels sound right. I don't know if you can do that with their Premium series speakers and crossovers.

Thats funny I just removed Focal's to put the MB Quart in. I mounter the mid bass from the PSD 216 in the rear door location, and a set of Rkc 116's Coaxials in the front location in the door. It think this works very nice it puts 4 tweeters in the front. 2 off the cross over with the PSD 216 @ -3 db. I think it sounds great I like it very clear up front, the mid bass in the rear dors folds the sound all the way back.

Randy,

Do you have any pictures of how they mounted the speakers? Did they cut holes in the plastic panels and use the MB Quart grilles? Or did they figure out a way to mount them without cutting holes?
