COMAND Unit
i am going to get a COMAND unit from Steve and try to install it myself because he won't be able to do it for me because of timing and because he told me that he won't be coming over to the states anymore.. has anyone done an install on their own? if so, can you send me very detailed installation instructions. i am pretty clueless with electronics, but if you give me detailed instructions, it won't be a problem. the wires are they main thing i am going to have trouble with. thanks.

Mechanically fitting it into the dash is a LOT more difficult.

yea...i am in Mississippi and i have a 1996 C280 w202. Steve wrote me saying that he won't be making any more trips to the east coast anymore because of all the hassle he goes through..he'll still be coming to the states, but on the west coast only. i'm very clueless about all this...we'll see though when i get the unit. thanks for all the help.

does anyone here that has installed a COMAND unit into their car would like to somehow help me personally install mine? i am located in Biloxi, MS. if you live kind of close to me and would offer to help me out...post a little reply or something. thanks

With the correct advice you can acheive this result and the only website I have seen with photos is down at the moment.
