W140 Dimming mirror - which wire go where?

I'm currently installing a W140 dimming RVM in my W201 - the physical fitting of it is taken care of (was quite easy), but the wiring has left me uncertain..

There are four wires:

Blue/grey
Pink/Purple
Brown
Pink/Green

Where do they go?? The only one I'm quite certain about is the brown one, which I assume goes to ground..

Does anyone know which ones I need?

Hi Sven!

Pink = autodimming
Blue/grey + brown = heating

For either one, it doesn't really matter which way they go on, because the heating element works either polarity, and the dimming is similar (but not quite).

On the 202/210, the heating wires are bare pins and the dimming wires are a purplish or black plastic-housed connector.

Hi Dean!

Thanks for the info, but I presume this is for the side-mirrors? I'm working on the interior mirror (this isn't too clear in my original post I see) Any idea which wire goes where then?

Never mind, Steve helped me out!

(blue/grey=power, brown=ground)

Well, everything is in, and it worked great! Nevertheless I had to disconnect it again - both the wires I had in my stone-age car was constant power (well, one was door-activated), so it seems I have to run a wire down to the connection point in the driverside footwell..

Cool feature though, definitive a "must-have"

Sorry, I didn't connect RVM = rear view mirror... innenraum would have made more sense to me at first. Glad you realized that when I wrote "heating" I thought you meant exterior mirrors... but the pink coming OUT are for dimming.

Post some pics, this sounds cool...

I kinda figured you were out to dinner (it was a Sunday afterall), no stress at all, I ended up having to disconnect it again afterwards anyway :p

Nah, no need for heated innenraum RVM (heated steering wheel would be cool though) - but how about electric folding/heating/dimming SLK side-mirrors?

EDIT: Oh, and I will snap some pics once I finish it

Actually, when I lived closer to San Francisco, and parked outside, there were some days when a heated innenraum mirror would have been useful... whether Steve believes it or not!
