Thumbs up Finally an mp3 cd changer

Kenwood finally came up with an mp3 cd changer that can be fitted into MBs without changing the in-dash radio. The drawback is that it uses an FM modulator (comes with a small display/changer unit that can't display mp3 file names), but for half the price of a conventional changer from an MB dealer, you get the extra VERY usefull mp3 playback. Sounds good to me.

2018 E400 COUPE SOLD -> Porsche Taycan 4S
why would you want to degrade your digital source (cd) w/ a fm modulator? if you are going through the trouble and spending cash to upgrade to a changer, why compromise with sound quality?

The stock sound system sucks. Even the Bose "upgrade" sucks. So you're degrading your sound quality there too.

I'm about 6 inches from saying "screw steering wheel controls" and installing an aftermarket head unit. If only I could figure out a way to make it look nice in the weird shaped location.
