Command Center - Bluetooth Unavailable

Hi Folks, recently purchased an A45, really enjoying the car. Just having one problem with the Blueooth connection. Hope someone could show me what I am missing!

Settings > Activated Bluetooth.

Under Tel, I can see Connect Device as per the instruction manual, but I am unable to select "Connect Device". It is hard to see from the image below but it's greyed out. Cannot navigate with the rotation input or the navigation keys.

I read on the forum to try disabling Aux, but that did not help.

Any help much appreciated!

Jamie

Do I need a adapter/module? I was presuming Bluetooth was built in. (A45 2013)

It looks like you haven't paired your phone. Probably under the TEL menu. (Not sure because I don't have that version of COMAND, but somewhere you will find the place to add new phone to the list of paired devices.) Make sure you phone is in discoverable mode and agree to the various security prompts when the car sets up the pairing.

It does sound like that, but under Tel, Connect Device is actually greyed out.
I don't seem to be able to get into a pairing/search mode on the console.

From the picture, TEL and CONNECT DEVICE look like two separate menus. Are you saying TEL is grayed out also? (CONNECT DEVICE is where, I think, you select from multiple previously paired phones and would be grayed out with no paired phones.)

Correct. It's hard to see from the image, but both TEL and Connect Device are a lighter shade of Grey. I cannot access with the rotation control of the keypad.

Sounds like something is not working correctly. If I remember correctly, with that version of COMAND. you should be able to pair a phone in Connect device. It sounds like your BlueTooth module is kaput.

Ahh bugger. So is Bluetooth built into the HU or does it use an external module?
I found modiles such as; http://www.mercedesmedic.com/mercede...tooth-adapter/
But I can't find anything like that located on the vehcile, just the AUX and USB port in the central storage.
Guess I'm trying to confirm if I require an add on or is Bluetooth built in...
It's driving me mad, thanks for your input btw.
