Component Speakers / Subwoofer Questions W203
hi,
i have a w203 c32 amg and was wondering how hard it was to replace the stock bose component speakers. i have heard it is a difficult install. also, what is the size of the speakers, 5 & 1/4? any advice as to anything special regarding installation of new component speakers with the w203, or have i just been misinformed? i know each audio shop varies in pricing, but what is the approximate range for the install of new component speakers? i am looking at Focal Polykevlar components.
btw, i am running COMAND navi, and would like to keep it. unless there is another alternative that fits, and i only have to shell out $1500 after selling COMAND, then i would consider it.
also, i plan on running two 10" or 12" JLw6v2 or Focal 27KX subwoofers. can i run a mono amp such as the Brax X1000 or JL1000.1 or Xtant 1000 and bridge it to two channels, or must i run an amp for each sub? in this case, what kind of specs should i look for to power each sub?

The stock Bose speakers are mounted in plastic mounts. A 6.25" outside diameter speaker (Kicker K6.2) fits & bolts up, perfectly, in the door. The front mount the tweeter in the triangles, the rear door use coaxial. Stock door speakers are 2 ohms.
I put in a single Kicker VR10, dual voice coil subwoofer in the rear deck.
