AUX not full stereo, HELP needed

I have only just gotten around to getting an IPOD and finally got to use the AUX that came with the command....

I am only getting sound out of the right side of the car...is this a fault with the AUX or the way in which i have hooked it up

any help would be good

Make sure that the cable you used to connect the iPod to the AUX jack is capable of delivering 2 channels, left and right. The pins on either end should have two colored stripes just like the pin on your headphones. If your cable has only one stripe, it is a mono cable.

Simpler Solution - the radio shack plug is not going all the way into the aux jack
get one with a smaller rubber part Or Sand it down ..- I bought a Cable from radio Shack and had this problem
